At Elseway, we are committed to fostering a creative, inclusive, and mutually respectful environment where users can interact with AI characters, create stories, and share experiences. To maintain a safe and welcoming community, all users must follow the guidelines below.

General Rules

Content Compliance: All uploaded content must comply with these Guidelines. Violations may result in penalties, including content removal or account suspension.
Terms and Privacy: By using Elseway, you agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Violations may result in account restrictions.
Platform Authority: Where necessary, Elseway reserves the right to remove content or restrict accounts without prior notice. These Guidelines may be updated from time to time, and users are required to comply with any changes.

Community Standards

Our Terms of Use, together with the rules below, define what types of content and activity are allowed on Elseway and what is prohibited; these content rules form part of these Community Guidelines. They apply not only to the Elseway platform but also to our community forums and third-party character-related forums, such as Discord and other social media platforms.

The following content is strictly prohibited on Elseway:

Pornographic Content. Elseway does not support using this service to distribute obscene or pornographic content, although we do preserve a degree of creative freedom for users. Do not post any disturbing explicit images or content; if you come across such content, you are welcome to report it to us promptly. We take content review and moderation very seriously.
Hate and Discrimination. Content involving racism, homophobia, misogyny, transphobia, xenophobia, fascism, and the like is prohibited.
Harassment and Bullying. Do not humiliate, threaten, or bully others, and do not incite others to do so.
Violence and Self-Harm. Content that promotes suicide or self-harm, or any harmful or dangerous acts, challenges, or pranks, is not allowed on the platform.
Real-Person Imagery. Any imagery of real people and any photographic work is strictly prohibited, including photographs taken with a camera, images taken from the internet, retouched photos, and face-swapped images. Content must not depict or point to a real person.
Privacy Violations. Sharing personal data (such as addresses, phone numbers, or financial information) or unauthorized images is prohibited.
Fraud and Deception. Posting misleading, stolen, or spam content is prohibited.
Glorification of Crime. Content that glorifies or romanticizes real-life violence, crime, war criminals, dictators, or extremist ideologies is strictly prohibited.
Impersonation. Do not impersonate any individual or organization in a misleading or deceptive manner. Anyone impersonating staff will be banned immediately.
Misinformation. Spreading false information or promoting untrue statements, including conspiracy theories, misleading rhetoric, and accusations, is not allowed.

Content Moderation and Enforcement

Elseway actively monitors content that users create and publish publicly (including cover images, character images, and definition text) to ensure it complies with these Community Guidelines, in particular the prohibited content listed under “Community Standards” above.

Reporting Channels

Users can report violations using the report button on each content page. You may also report violations by contacting our support team via email at [email protected] or via Discord.

How Reports Are Handled

All reported content is reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours on business days, or within 48 hours on weekends and holidays.
During review, content may be temporarily hidden or have its visibility restricted.
We will notify users whenever possible, but serious violations may result in immediate removal without further notice.

Proactive Moderation

In addition to user reports, Elseway also conducts routine reviews of newly created content to ensure compliance with these Guidelines.
All content is reviewed manually by our moderation team. In the future, we may introduce automated tools to assist the review process.
